TRADITIONAL TEACHING METHODOLOGY

 



The traditional method of teaching is when a teacher directs students to learn through memorization and recitation techniques thereby not developing their critical thinking problem solving and decision-making skills while the modern or constructivist approach to teaching involves a more interacting, student-based of teaching. Here, the students learn through group participation.
“As with most things, it’s all about balance. We need to understand when a traditional method works best and when it’s right to try new and innovative approaches.”is still widely used in schools. The old-fashioned way of teaching was all about recitation.
The way in which traditional methods were taught ensured that students were rewarded for their efforts, used class periods efficiently, and exercised clear rules to manage students’ behavior. They were based on established customs that had been used successfully in schools over many years. The teachers communicated the knowledge and enforced standards of behavior.

Establishing a positive relationship with their teacher helps a student feel more comfortable and safe in their classroom environments and students even didn't hesitate to ask doubts. students are more likely to participate actively in class and challenge themselves academically. Studies show that teachers who feel engaged by passionate students who proactively work at their relationships with them grade a full grade higher than others.
